Physical Education and COG Teacher

Kyle headshotKyle is in charge of Physical Education and Recreation, and he's also the COG Facilitator at Keystone. Kyle graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma where he received his BS in Kinesiology Health Studies with an emphasis in Outdoor Community Recreation.

Kyle started out at Keystone as a teacher’s aide and after school Kid Care facilitator. Kyle has a lot of summer camp experience as well, where he has worked as a counselor and ropes course director.

Kyle’s goal for this physical education program is to create an aesthetically pleasing experience through the use of physical activity in hopes to provide students with a broad range of individual skills through sport/recreational activities. The physical education that Kyle has incorporated focuses on a philosophy known as “Experiential Learning.” Experiential Learning is a philosophy that informs many methodologies in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop people’s capacity to contribute to their communities. It is important to implement this philosophy while participating in small group games because it provides group growth and promotes positive and constructive communication in a safe and fun environment.
