Our school prides itself in having a non-hierarchical organizational structure. The three founders of the school,
Jenny Dunning, John Duhon, and Risa Wilkins McKinney, all wear many hats.
Founder
Director of Development
Jenny Dunning is ongoing Director of Development and previous classroom teacher. After teaching 6 years at Keystone,
Jenny is taking a sabbatical from teaching Art this year to focus on the business development of our school. With the
help of our amazing children, faculty, and parents, she has launched the Annual Fund, writes grants, plans our fundraisers,
and communicates with our generous supporters, including foundations, corporations and individuals. Prior to founding Keystone,
Jenny spent a lifetime raising money for a litany of non-profits, teaching elementary school Spanish, middle school Language Arts,
Music Theatre, Journalism, and high school Learning Lab in public schools. She holds three Bachelors of Arts degrees, an Oklahoma
teaching certificate in Secondary Education, and has Master’s work in Learning Disabilities. Jenny credits the joyful mothering of her
6 children as the inspiration for her passion and counts them as her greatest accomplishment.
John Duhon and Risa Wilkins McKinney are profiled along with their fellow faculty members.
3-Year-Old Teacher
Marilyn loves preschoolers! Her degree is in Elementary Education with many hours towards an early childhood degree.
She has taught in both public and private schools, teaching in preschool, pre-K, kindergarten, and second grade areas.
Marilyn’s favorite age is 3-year-olds, of course! She believes that young children learn through play and her goal is to
share appropriate activities that foster learning. She loves watching children explore and discover life. Children love
to be taught and nurtured; therefore Marilyn’s favorite activity of the day is HUGS! Every child is one of a kind, and
the Preschool class at Keystone allows each child to feel that he/she is just that - Special! Our 3 year old preschool
class provides the foundation of learning and self-esteem for a life-long adventure in education. Children will know
that school is a fun, safe and loving environment. It's the truth - School is Cool!
